We translate all ideas about innovative education, personal-professional development, and sustainable collaboration into building blocks for our programs and development pathways.
We gather these building blocks and corresponding creative formats in our living manifesto, an online document that grows with us in the coming years. After your registration, you can download the manifesto and you will receive a current update from us every quarter.

By participating in programs or being involved as a trainer or coach, you will build valuable connections with socially engaged people and actively work together on your personal and professional growth.
We keep you informed about new programs and offer you access to interesting assignments and vacancies at affiliated organizations. What is Bildung?
Bildung is actively, consciously, and ethically relating to your inner self, others, and the world. It represents the ideal that people develop themselves as broadly and fully as possible and take on social responsibility.
We have been inspired by the ideas of classic bildungsdenkers such as Wilhelm von Humboldt (1767 - 1835) and Theodor Adorno (1903-1969), but also by contemporary thinkers such as Gert Biesta, Martha Nussbaum and Roman Krznaric.

No, joining The Bildung Network is free of charge. With it you get the opportunity to share your ideas, you have access to inspiration from the online manifesto and we keep you informed about new programs and interesting job opportunities.
Note that you also help build the 21st century university by participating in programs. Many of these programs are free of charge and some are paid. Depending on your personal situation, we sometimes ask you to determine your own contribution.

We operate in education, science, the arts, the public sector, and sustainable business. Together, we are building the university of the 21st century: representing the ideal of education, learning & development.
We collect innovative ideas about education, personal-professional development and sustainable cooperation into building blocks. With these, together with The Bildung Network, we create education and development programs that fit the challenges of this century.
Can I study at the university of the 21st century?
The university of the 21st century represents the ideal of education, learning & development. We are not an existing institution. Instead, we create programs and offer advice, coaching, and training that, in our view, align with that ideal vision. You can participate in these, in other words, 'study.'
The university of the 21st century has no fixed location. We offer some of these programs or pathways in collaboration with educational institutions, such as universities or vocational colleges (ROC's), or with sustainable businesses. We see opportunities everywhere for personal development, as long as you cultivate an open and attentive mindset.
