De Bildung Academie processes, manages and secures your personal data with the utmost care. In doing so, we comply with the requirements of the Personal Data Protection Act.

Personal data we process

De Bildung Academie processes your personal data because you use our services and/or because you provide them to us yourself. This privacy statement applies to the personal data generated by your visits to the website of De Bildung Academie.

The use of your personal data/ purposes of collecting personal data

For the purpose of our services, De Bildung Academie records data in one or more files with your consent. De Bildung Academie processes your personal data for the following purposes:

  • Sending study information and invitations/attendees around information activities;
  • Send sheets, newsletters and/or correspondence to persons who have requested them;
  • Handling your payment;
  • Sending our newsletter and/or advertising flyer;
  • Calling or emailing you if necessary to perform our services;
  • De Bildung Academie analyzes your behavior on the website in order to improve the website;
  • De Bildung Academie also processes personal data if we are legally required to do so, such as data we need for our limited tax liability.

Basis of processing.

We must be able to base the use of personal data on one of the bases in Article 6 of the AVG, namely:

  • The data subject has consented to the processing of their personal data for one or more specific purposes;
  • The processing is necessary for the performance of a contract to which the data subject is a party, or in order to take measures at the request of the data subject prior to the conclusion of a contract;
  • The processing is necessary to comply with a legal obligation incumbent on the controller;
  • The processing is necessary to protect the vital interests of the data subject or another natural person;
  • The processing is necessary for the performance of a task carried out in the public interest or in the exercise of official authority vested in the controller;
  • The processing is necessary to satisfy the legitimate interests of the controller or of a third party, except where the interests or fundamental rights and freedoms of the data subject requiring protection of personal data outweigh those interests, in particular where the data subject is a child.

Automated decision-making

De Bildung Academie does not use systems for decision-making based on automated processing.

How long we keep personal data

De Bildung Academie does not keep your personal data longer than is strictly necessary to fulfill the purposes for which your data is collected. That is, we keep the data as long as necessary to perform the requested services and fulfill the agreements. Exceptions to this are the data that we must keep longer because the law requires us to do so.

Sharing personal data with third parties

De Bildung Academie does not sell your data to third parties and only provides them if necessary for the performance of our agreement with you or to comply with a legal obligation. With companies that process your data on our behalf, we conclude a processor agreement to ensure the same level of security and confidentiality of your data. The Bildung Academy remains responsible for this processing.

View, modify or delete data

You have the right to view, correct or delete your personal data. You also have the right to withdraw your consent to the processing of your personal data or to object to the processing of your personal data by The Bildung Academy and you have the right to data portability. This means that you can submit a request to us to send the personal data that we have on you in a computer file to you or another organisation named by you.

You can send a request for inspection, correction, deletion or amendment of your personal data or a request to withdraw your consent or objection to the processing of your personal data to michiel@debildungacademie.nl.

To make sure that the request for inspection is made by you, we ask you to send a copy of your ID with the request. In this copy please erase your passport photo, MRZ (machine readable zone, the strip of numbers at the bottom of the passport), passport number and Citizen Service Number (BSN). This is to protect your privacy. We will respond to your request within four weeks.

The Bildung Academie would also like to point out that you have the option of submitting a complaint to the national supervisory authority, the Dutch Data Protection Authority (Autoriteit Persoonsgegevens).

How we secure personal data

De Bildung Academie takes the protection of your data seriously and takes appropriate measures to prevent abuse, loss, unauthorized access, unwanted disclosure and unauthorized modification.
