What does the program look like and what will I learn?
The program consists of 8 to 12 sessions, a combination of inspiring lectures, interactive workshops, practice assignments and moments of reflection. Although the program is again under development, the master class consists of the following elements:
What makes someone effective in conveying a particular message in a verbal context? How do you use your body rhetorically? How do you make a difficult story manageable?
What does this learning path entail?
At the theory level, we use knowledge from classical and modern rhetoric to answer these questions. So you will learn what rhetoric is all about and develop a sense of what makes a speech good. In addition, you gain insights about your own and the group's rhetorical strengths and shortcomings.

The relationship between you as an individual, as part of a group and as part of a society is central here. Because persuasion is not objective, it comes about in the interaction between you, the other person or the group. Between speaker and audience.

You go from the inside out; starting from an idea, you bring your speech to life and learn to improvise. Through exercises from theater and elocution, we bring theory to practice. Text structure, voice and posture are central.
