About Ambassadors of Amsterdam
In this role, you will serve as a trainer and program developer:
- Ambassadors of Amsterdam (in collaboration with the Ministry of Education, Culture, and Science): a program in which young people work on their personal development and actively contribute to addressing social issues in the city.
You operate at the intersection of personal development, social impact, and systemic change.
What are you going to do?
You combine training, coaching, and program-based work:
- Developing and facilitating training programs and learning pathways focused on personal and social development
- Facilitating groups of young people (vocational, community college, and university students, ages 16–35) and ensuring a safe, open group dynamic
- Conducting one-on-one meetings to support individual development
- Werving en intake van deelnemers in samenwerking met onze marketingpartners
- Serve as trainer-coordinator for Ambassadors of Amsterdam
- Contribute to the development and implementation of development programs and the initiation of new partnerships
- Organizing practical matters related to sessions (materials, venues, coordination with stakeholders)
Who we are looking for
We are looking for a capable professional who can effectively bridge the gap between content and process:
- Experience as a trainer, coach, or program facilitator
- Demonstrable experience with experiential learning methods (e.g., Theory U, Deep Democracy, dynamic decision-making)
- A clear vision of personal and social development
- Affinity with young people (ages 16–35) and educational settings (vocational, community college, and university)
- Skilled in group dynamics, communication, and creating a safe learning environment
- Experience in program coordination
- Proactive, reflective, and enterprising within organizational frameworks
- Flexible availability (3–5 days a week) and willing to work evenings on occasion
- Preferably living in Amsterdam or (the vicinity of) the Randstad
