At The Bildung Academy we work on various projects, ranging from consultancy jobs at the Police Academy to programs for OC&W in which we get MBO, HBO and WO students to work collectively on personal and social challenges. Together with our extensive network of clients, trainers, teachers, alumni and coaches we build an inspiring and inclusive learning environment.

About Mindmasters040 & StadsMakers

Mindmasters040 and StadsMakers are two development programs for young people from The Bildung Academy that focus on personal and social development. In Mindmasters040, young people work on developing their resilience at different layers: personal, social, physical and digital. StadsMakers focuses on developing and implementing social initiatives through co-creation and design thinking.

For these programs, we are looking for a trainer/coach to support the youth in their learning process and guide group dynamics. Do you have a toolbox of experiential work forms and both an affinity for developing resilience and experience in setting up social initiatives? Then we would love to get in touch with you!

Responsibilities

• Responsible for participant onboarding: calling interested parties and conducting intake interviews;
• Facilitate the program for groups of 40 participants and for smaller groups of 10 participants using developed scripts;
• Monitor and facilitate a proactive, safe and stimulating group dynamic during the sessions;
• Main point of contact for participants for practical and substantive issues;
• Have 1-on-1 conversations with participants to support their personal development;
• Guide participants in the creation, concretization and implementation of a social initiative aimed at creating more connection in the city (StadsMakers);
• Guide participants in developing their resilience (Mindmasters040);
• Coordinating/practical responsibilities in the form of arranging and coordinating educational materials with host masters and locations.

Who we are looking for

• You have experience as a trainer, coach, mentor or facilitator and enjoy working with groups as well as on a personal level with young people;
• You have an affinity with both mental resilience and resilience (for Mindmasters040) and with setting up social initiatives and design thinking (for StadsMakers);
• You have a toolbox of experiential forms of work, such as Deep Democracy, Theory U;
• You are communicatively strong and know how to create an open and safe group atmosphere;
• You are flexible and willing to work evenings or weekends (at least available on two weekday evenings - including Wednesdays - and occasional Sundays).

Practical information

• Start date: August 2025 (available for preparation in May/June)
• Employment: 2.5 days per week (salaried)

• Salary: dependent on experience and negotiable
